An impromptu
travel with special someone.
On our first
month, we decided to go in my uncle's pad for a sleepover at Golden City Sta.
Rosa, Laguna. We were undecided where to go but with the "lakas of
loob" kasabihan, we ended up riding a van going to Pagsanjan.
From Golden City
Sta.Rosa Laguna, we rode a van in Complex Mall Balibago. The van to Pagsanjan
costs 95 pesos. The last stop of the van is at Pagsanjan. Just ask the driver
to drop you in Pagsanjan to avoid confusion.
Day 1
We got there at
exactly 2 pm, the first thing we did is to look for a room/place that can
accommodate us.
Note: Hotels
there are so expensive. If you are a choosy type of person, you can stay at 818
Hotel, La Corona De Pagsanjan Resort Hotel and a lot more along the way.
Going back, as
we stroll we found this cheap inn near Pagsanjan Arch, it's Tropical Resort in
(Brgy. Pinagsanjan Pagsanjan, Laguna) The room rate ranges from 850 pesos and
up ++ for an overnight stay, not that costly.
If you are
looking for a cheaper place to stay in, you can ride a tricycle beside the
church of Pagsanjan (Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish) and ask the driver to bring
you where cheap inns and rooms are located. (I forgot the name of the street)
The rooms and apartment there ranges from 500 and below per night. Mind you,
it's per night. Affordable right? Just don't expect too much. (If you know what
I mean.)

After leaving
our stuffs in our room, one of the staff (boatman) asked us if we want to ride
a boat for 600 per head but the boat ride will not reach Pagsanjan Falls.
(Sounds affordable? Not really!) The boat ride to Pagsanjan Falls cost 1,250
per head which is really expensive. (To be honest. we did not expect that it is
really expensive) because of my "tawad" skills (You know what I
mean!) I and the boat man ended up with 800 pesos for two.
The boatman said
that he will just bring us on the Pagsanjan - Cavinti stop over. This is the
gate where boats go in order to reach Pagsanjan Falls. (For an added
information) Pagsanjan Falls, is originally owned by Cavinti not Pagsanjan.
The trip was
about 1 and half hour. There is a store in the stop over where you can buy food
and drinks in case you are hungry. After the boat ride we ate at Jollibee, a
bit far from Pagsanjan proper. Jeepneys going to Sta. Maria will pass there. We
ended the night with beers at "Therese Grill", the bar was more like
a KTV hub. Nice food, waiters and ambiance. Beers are 160 per bucket (Bottle of
5 any local beers). (Cool, isn't it?) Haha!

Day 2
Good Morning
Sunshine! At 7:35 am we stroll and take some pictures along Pagsanjan. While
walking, we saw a Tapsilogan nearby the church. The menu is so affordable, in
our curiosity we ordered a Tapsilog (45 pesos), Tocilog (45 pesos) and Pancit
Canton for (85 pesos). The food tastes good for it's price. After the food
trip, the boat man who brought us in Cavinti - Pagsanjan gate convinced us to
go to Pagsanjan Falls in a cheaper way. The cheaper way is by riding a tricycle
via Cavinti. The entrance is 175 pesos per head. It includes everything, what I
mean of everything is.. the tour guide, the rappelling and experience to the
Falls.
